AP Exit Polls 2024: YSRCP Poised for Landslide Victory

Andhra Pradesh Assembly Elections 2024

Exit polls predict a resounding victory for the YSRCP in the upcoming Andhra Pradesh assembly elections.

According to various exit polls, the YSRCP, led by Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, is expected to sweep the elections, winning a majority of the 175 assembly seats. The Telugu Desam Party (TDP), the main opposition party, is predicted to perform poorly, with exit polls indicating a significant decline in its vote share.

The counting of votes for the Andhra Pradesh assembly elections began on June 4th, and the results are expected to be declared later in the day. The Election Commission of India (ECI) data available at 11 am shows the TDP leading in 133 seats, followed by the YSRCP in 112 seats. However, the exit polls suggest that the YSRCP is likely to emerge as the clear winner once all the votes are counted.

In terms of vote share, the exit polls predict that the YSRCP is likely to secure 50.20%, the NDA alliance 44.60%, the Congress 2.20%, and others 3%. These figures indicate a significant lead for the YSRCP over its rivals.

The exit polls also suggest that the YSRCP's strong performance is largely due to the popularity of Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy and his government's welfare schemes. The TDP, on the other hand, has faced criticism for its handling of the state's economy and its alleged corruption.

The final results of the Andhra Pradesh assembly elections will be declared later today, but the exit polls provide a strong indication that the YSRCP is set for a landslide victory.
